I was raised in a backwoods town here in Virginia. In all the years of my schooling I could never tell you how any teacher voted. My civics teacher in high-school seemed to me to be as staunch a Democrat as my dad (in my young eyes). Some years later I discovered he was an actual member of the John Birch Society.

Today I can tell you how every one of my daughter's teachers vote. That ultra right-wing teacher in rural Virginia had a professionalism beyond the comprehension of the local school workers (I hesitate to call them teachers).

Of course the school system would back the teacher. It saves them money. The more children who enroll in private schools the more money the system doesn't have to spend.

I hope that you will have someone there in support of Mrs. Shepherd, otherwise the interview would be "unbalanced," and that would be a shame. I hope you a good day.
