In all the years of my schooling I could never tell you how any teacher voted. My civics teacher in high-school seemed to me to be as staunch a Democrat as my dad (in my young eyes). Some years later I discovered he was an actual member of the John Birch Society. Today I can tell you how every one of my daughter's teachers vote. That ultra right-wing teacher in rural Virginia had a professionalism beyond the comprehension of the local school workers (I hesitate to call them teachers). I was raised in a backwoods town here in Virginia. In all the years of my schooling I could never tell you how any teacher voted.
