Rob, Thank you for giving “voice to the
voiceless” by reprinting this “controversial”
editorial. Doesn’t it boil down to what
person or entity owns the Albermarle High
School newspaper? I think the Principal
has made a bad decision. Will his career
suffer for this decision? Will parents
and guardians withdraw their children from
Albermarle High School and government con-
trolled public schools because of this action? Would any parent or guardian admit
publically they took such an action? I have a new appreciation for the clout of
physical education teachers at Albemarle
H.S. They obviously carry clout with the
Principal. They placed a jock strap and
sports bra on Ellie Leech’s opinion in the
school newspaper and threw it in the dumpster. I guess that’s being a good
parent as the government-based school system fulfills that role in society. I
hope Margie Shepard is smiling.

I wonder how many administrators actually thought they could get away with this blatant censorship? Did they honestly think that they could bury this article? Haven’t they heard of the internet?
