Anyone – even Tea Partiers although they won’t admit it – can understand the difference between giving kids free ice cream one time when they’re under parental supervision, and making it available to them five days a week when they aren’t.

Kudos to Cville School Board members with the common sense to remove nutrition-free fattening foods from the schools at a time when childhood obesity is epidemic. And kudos to the city for hitting on a plan to make whiny Tea Partiers stay home while other residents take democratic action.

Dear Rob, All of us have completely overlooked the
obvious. City government is addicted to “sugar”
in all its forms and manifestations. Because of
this, City government is experiencing an obesity
epidemic. Of course, it has been going on for quite
awhile.

Dear Rob, What was the nutritional content of the ice cream
being served to hungry constituents? Where is the health
coach in this matter? A Bounce House? That’s what
Charlottesville taxpayers must feel residing in this
“world class” city. It would be quite a feat for an
incumbent Councilor to be “bounced” from office, as
well as some fellow Democrats. Now that would be a
real “bounce house” in any election cycle in the City.
I hope some of us can recall the ditty: I scream,
you scream, we all scream for subsidized ice cream!

Obesity epidemic causation now exposed…Democrats feeding ice cream to innocent public. School board needs to apply ice cream “rule” to parents as well.
