The National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) and the Virginia Association of Realtors’ (VAR) ongoing legal persecution of Wilson Fauber may have met its match.
Fauber, a Christian minister and long-time Realtor, has been under fire from the Associations following a recent complaint lodged against his having posted a Bible verse online in 2015.
While the NAR has modified the policy under which Fauber was charged, the persecution, fines, and legal threats continue.
Now, the United States Department of Justice has launched a formal investigation of the NAR/VAR abridgement of Fauber’s First Amendment rights, as reported by the Founding Freedoms Law Center (Fauber’s legal team):
Thankfully, in another recent development, we have confirmed that the Trump Department of Justice has now launched a formal investigation into VAR and NAR for their use of their rules to penalize the expression of religious viewpoints, including their actions against Wilson. We look forward to working with the DOJ to hopefully get full justice for Wilson and all members of Realtor who have experienced similar treatment. [emphasis added]
Fauber awaits the administration of justice in a preposterous case that has cost him dearly—both personally and professionally. Ultimately and rightly, the NAR and VAR should be assessed damages and should lose their monopoly authority over the real estate industry and its practitioners.
Wilson Fauber joined today’s edition of The Schilling Show to discuss the cases against him in detail. Listen here:
