A week after becoming aware of their own discriminatory blocking of a local GOP campaign web site, Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) has yet to rectify the situation.
In a series of exposés on ACPS prohibiting access to Republican web sites while allowing such on Democrat counterpart sites, the Schilling Show brought forward the case of Scott Smith—a Republican running for the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.
Visits to Smith’s URL were thwarted by ACPS censorship software running Division-wide. In contrast, students, faculty, and staff have unfettered online access to Smith’s challenger, Democrat Fred Missel’s site.
Despite multiple notifications from various parties, as of September 24, ACPS Superintendent Matt Haas, EdD, had not yet ordered the institutional Smith-block removed.
This is a developing story; the Schilling Show will provide updates as they become available.
