Law enforcement was notified of a violent clash between a staff member and a student at Albemarle County’s Monticello High School (MHS) today.
As reported by NBC 29:
A Monticello High School student got into a physical fight with a staff member on the morning of Thursday, April 2.
According to a letter written by assistant principal Dr. Andrea Trotter and addressed to Monticello families and staff, there were no injuries.
“Albemarle County Public Schools is investigating the matter, and we notified law enforcement about the situation,” according to the letter. “This is all the information we can share at this time.”
Inside sources claim that MHS staff ordered students to delete videos of the incident. This clip was circulated on social media and provided to The Schilling Show.

Lest we forget, the extracurricular policies were changed by Allison Spillman to make how more County Public Schools safer. At 21 thousand dollars per child That we the taxpayers are carrying, this doesn’t look safer to me. And yet again, one more reason for the taxpayers to seriously question the return on our investment.
The teacher’s actions (REGARDLESS OF SEX OR RACE) while in the middle of the altercation went totally beyond self-defense mode. After the first punch from him, and then there was numerous more to follow (perhaps two?), that changed everything. Walk away, scream and yell….but the second you start swinging on a student-absolutely unacceptable. I was so mind blown by the video that I shared it with friends and family who are either teachers or school staff members of various age groups ranging from pre-K to high school and every single one numbering over eight, said absolutely this teacher should never be allowed back on school property again
