When we turned on the water this morning, there was FOAM coming out from the tap. A call to Charlottesville’s Public Works department assured us that this was just “air” in the line. But look how big the bubbles are! And, some bubbles stayed on the surface of this water for at least 20 minutes.
Would you drink water that looked like this? We certainly didn’t (and haven’t).
We’re awaiting a definitive answer from Public Works before we imbibe.
Was there a detectable odor to what your faucet discharged?
No detectable odor. And the water has cleared up. The city assures me that it was just air, but I’m still skeptical.
